Villages cut off after landslide damages foot trail

People in northern Gorkha have been affected by a dry landslide that occurred on the Manaslu foot trail in Khanibesi at ward 7 of Dharche Rural Municipality in Gorkha district on Thursday.
According to Pandur Gurung, ward member of Dharche-7, locals of two local units, which are Dharche and Chumnubri rural municipalities, have to walk for more than eight hours to reach the nearest road after the landslide on the Manaslu foot trail.
Efforts are being made to clear the landslide, said Gurung.
