Nepal Police Inspector Umesh Gurung to partake in year-long police training in France

For the first time, a Nepal Police personnel is going to take part in a training at France’s National Police College.
Inspector of Police Umesh Gurung has been selected to take a one-year course of Police Commissioner at the French institute.
Gurung’s nomination, registered by the Nepal Police and the Ministry of Home Affairs, was approved by a French multi-institutional commission, the French Embassy said in a press release issued on Saturday.
As per the statement, the programme is dedicated to enable foreign police officers already trained in their home country to gain more knowledge and develop their international profile, strengthening and perpetuating exchanges between two countries.
The training course is part of a continuous cooperation between Nepali and French law enforcement authorities, it said.
