Grade 12 examination results published
Of the total 371,637 students who sat for the examination, 6,976 secured a grade point average higher than 3.61.Post Report
The National Examinations Board has published the results of the grade 12 examinations held from May 9 to 19.
As per the results, 6,976 students secured a grade point average (GPA) between 3.61 to 4. Similarly, 38,999 students got GPAs between 3.21 to 3.60.
“As many 182,926 students are in the non-graded category,” said Mahashram Sharma, the board chairperson.
They will not be eligible to pursue undergraduate courses. The share of the students in the non-graded category is 49.09 percent of the total examinees. The number is a 2.81 percent decline from last year when 188,410 exam takers had failed to secure any grade.
A total of 372,637 examinees appeared in the grade 12 examinations in 1,453 exam centres across the country.
According to the board, the grade-improving examinations will be conducted next month. Students who have been placed in the non-graded category, in a maximum of two subjects, can reappear in the grade-improving examinations.
