SEE grade improvement examinations on August 11-12
Students receiving a ‘C’ or lower grades can sit for supplementary examinations for two subjects of their choice.

The National Education Board has announced the Secondary Education Examination supplementary tests for grade improvement for August 11-12.
Issuing a notice on Saturday, the Office of the Controller of Examinations asked students to submit their examination forms by August 6.
The students willing to take the test for the second time will have to submit their forms to the Education Development and Coordination Unit under the Education and Human Resource Development Centre in the respective districts or directly to the controller’s office.
Bishnu Narayan Shrestha, examination controller, said the students who got a ‘C’ or lower grades can take the supplementary examinations to improve their grades. But the students will be allowed to sit for the examinations for only two subjects of their choice.
Students who abstained in exams for two subjects will also be allowed to appear for the grade improvement test.
Likewise, the office has requested the students dissatisfied with the results to submit an application for re-totalling by July 21.
A fee of Rs500 has been fixed for grade improvement examination and re-totalling each.
Students whose details such as name, and date of birth among others have been incorrect in the grade sheet have also been requested to get them corrected within six months.
As per this year’s results published on Thursday, of the 484,939 examinees who took the test held in March/April, 22,475 or 4.63 percent graduated with Grade Point Average (GPAs) 3.60 and above.
Likewise, 55,069 students qualified to study grade 11 getting the GPAs 3.20 to 3.60, which is 11.36 percent of the total examinees.
The results show 72,262 students secured 2.80 to 3.20 GPAs while the number of graduates managing to get 2.40 to 2.80 GPAs stood at 89,331.
Similarly, 102,293 students got 2.00 to 2.40 GPAs, 88,447 got 1.60 to 2.00 GPAs and 38,770 secured 1.20 to 1.60 GPAs. The board has categorised 13,992 as non-graded, which is 2.89 percent of the total examinees.
