Nepali Congress President Deuba leaves for Singapore for treatment

Nepali Congress President and former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has left for Singapore for medical treatment.
According to Deuba’s secretariat, the Congress president along with his wife Arju Rana left for Singapore on Tuesday night for a regular health check-up.
Deuba has designated party Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka as the party’s acting president until his return.
The party’s Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel said Khadka will lead the party as acting president until the party chief returns to the country in accordance with Article 25 (13) of the party statute.
The Secretariat has informed that Deuba will return home after about a week.
