In a major haul, a Sudanese national has been arrested with 19 kg of gold from the Tribhuvan International Airport on Friday.
Yamraj Pandey, spokesperson of the TIA Customs Office, said Mouhamad Ahamad Daffalla Sharafeldin, who arrived in Kathmandu from Dubai, was arrested with the gold hidden in his luggage.
27-year-old Mouhamad landed in Kathmandu on a flight of Fly Dubai.
Pandey said the Sudanese national is currently under the custody of the customs office, adding that a further investigation is underway.
