Ncell services were abruptly disrupted on Thursday morning.
The private sector telecom operator said that the services were disrupted due to a technical glitch.
In a notice issued by the service provider, it stated that the disruption was caused due to multiple optical fibre link breakages connecting Butwal-Bardaghat and Damauli-Abhukhaireni.
According to the company, the breakages were caused due to road expansion work.
The network has been restored and all services have resumed.
Ncell has over 16.81 million voice telephony subscribers, according to the management information system report of the Nepal Telecommunications Authority.
