A fire broke out in one of the shoe factories near the Balaju industrial area on Wednesday.
According to superintendent Dinesh Raj Mainali, spokesperson of District Police Range Kathmandu, the fire started around 11: 40 in the morning and is yet to be contained.
“The fire is still out of control,” said Mainali. “Fire trucks from Lalitpur and Bhaktapur have also been mobilised to fight the inferno.”
According to Mainali, there are no human casualties.
“The fire may have started due to a short circuit,” he said. “But we are yet to determine the cause.”
