A woman has been arrested for possession of 15 kg hashish from the Post Office in Sundhara, Kathmandu on Wednesday.
The suspect has been identified as Kanchi Maya Ghale of Chisang Rural Municipality-8, Nuwakot. A team deployed from Narcotics Control Bureau of Nepal Police confiscated the hashish this afternoon.
Police said the hashish was seized when the Post Office was preparing to send drug to Hong Kong. The contraband was concealed in 148 packets of incense used by Buddhist devotees while performing puja.
