Two girls were found dead in a hotel they had been working in, at Lukla of Solukhumbu district on Tuesday. Police said bodies of 16-year-old Sangana Rai and her 9-year-old sister Khushi Rai of Mahakulung Rural Municipality-3 in Solukhumbu were found at Everest Mountain Home.
“The girls went to their room on Monday evening. When they did not come out till late on Tuesday, we broke into their room and found them dead,” said hotel owner Chhering Sherpa.
The bodies were taken to the district hospital in Phaplu for postmortem. Investigation is underway into the incident, said police.
