A pedestrian died after being hit by a truck at Mahadev Besi in Dhading district along the Prithvi Highway on Friday.
According to the police, a truck (Na 6 Kha 2373), heading towards Kathmandu from Muglin, hit Ramji Sarki, 21, of Thakre-10 killing him on the spot at Agra Bridge in Mahadev Besi.
DSP Shyam Kumar Mahato said the police have detained the truck driver for further action.
Following the incident, locals disrupted vehicular movement along the highway for about one hour.
