A 10-year-old girl of Parawaha in Aurahi Municipality-2 was raped and murdered in Dhanusha district, police said.

The body of Manika Yadav was found in a paddy field near her village on Saturday.

Police arrested 32-year-old Binod Mukhiya Bin and 23-year-old Nuthani Pandit Kumhar on charge of raping the girl. Police said the perpetrators gave Rs 10 to the girl and lured her to an open field, where she was raped on Friday evening. The girl’s body was found buried some 100 meters away from her home.

DSP Shahi said both the culprits have admitted to the crime. They had chocked her to death after raping her, said DSP Shahi. The body of the deceased has been sent to Janakpur Zonal Hospital for post mortem.
