Police have arrested Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) leader Uma Bhujel from Balaju in the Capital on Tuesday.
A team of police from District Police Office, Kavre arrested Bhujel on charges arson.
Kavre Police DSP Raviraj Khadka informed that Bhujel was arrested for her involvement in the arson of tripper and generator of crusher operator Kunsang Lama some five months ago.
The police had earlier arrested CPN spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma on the same charge.
According to District Police Office, Kavre investigation into the case has shown involvement of other leaders of the party and the police have stepped-up the search for the accused CPN leaders.
