The 50-metre section at Bhatteri Jungle area near Jugedi has sunk and developed massive cracks on the side of the road where the construction company had filled mud for the expansion purpose.
Following the incident, the Narayangadh-Muglin road project consultant company has directed the concerned construction company to reconstruct the damaged section. Indian company, BLA and Nepal’s Shrestha Construction Company (SCC), as a joint venture, had taken up the construction work at the Aanptari-Das Dhunga road section where the damage has occurred.
“The road that was filled up with sand has sustained damage and simple repair will not be enough,” said Project’s Resident Engineer Pushkar Regmi, “The whole of the 50-metre must be reconstructed from scratch.”
Engineer Regmi said that this is one of the biggest problem the road project has encountered adding that other areas along the recently constructed road section has also incurred minor damages and the concerned construction company has been directed to make repairs.
