Rastriya Janata Party (RJP) lawmaker Saroj Kumar Yadav has been elected unopposed as the House Speaker of Province 2. The official announcement, however, will be made only on Wednesday.
According to Bansiraj Paudel, Secretary at the Parliament Secretariat, Yadav was elected unopposed as he was only candidate to file nomination for the post of Speaker.
The time for filing the nomination was set till 2 pm today.
Yadav will be announced as the Speaker of Province 2 after the Province Assembly meeting summoned for 1 pm on Wednesday.
