Ballot boxes from 2,057 polling stations brought to respective district HQ

Ballot boxes from 2,057 out of 2,917 polling stations of 32 districts where the first phase of the parliamentary and provincial elections were held on Sunday have already been brought to respective district headquarters.
According Nawaraj Dhakal, spokesperson at the Election Commission, preparations are being made to transport ballot boxes of 129 polling stations to the respective destinations by helicopter.
Likewise, ballot boxes collected from remaining 741 polling stations are being taken to the district headquarters via land routes.
The voter turnout in the first phase elections was around 65 per cent. RSS
