A woman and her daughter drowned at the Gangapur Kuderbetwa-based Singaiya canal in Narainapur Rural Municipality, Banke on Wednesday. Another daughter has gone missing.
According to Police Inspector Bir Bahadur Thapa of the District Police Office, Banke, the deceased have been identified as Ramdulari Yadav and her eight-year-old daughter Sunita Yadav.
Police said that three-year-old daughter Anjali is missing the incident. They are searching for her.
The incident occurred while they were crossing the canal, police informed.
