Nawalparasi
Vehicular movement along the Nawalparasi-Daunne road section of the East-West highway which has been inoperative time and again since Friday due to landslides has resumed on Tuesday.
The landslide debris of Monday night was cleared to resume one-way services along the section and if rainfall ceases the highway section can be cleared for two-way operation, according to the police.
Over a dozen places have been hit by landslide and road cave-ins along the 14 km stretch causing frequent traffic obstructions.
Efforts to clear the debris and build diversion at the cave-in locations have been hit due to continuous rainfall.
