A fire that broke out at Basantapur village in Raptisonari Village Council-7, Banke gutted at least 10 houses and animal shelters on Sunday.
The fire destroyed a heap of wheat stored in the village and charred two goats.
Banke Police Chief SP Tek Prasad Rai informed that efforts are underway to contain the fire.
The full extent of the damage caused by fire is yet to come and the cause behind the inferno is yet to be ascertained.
