Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Loktantrik (MJF-L) Chairman Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar has remarked that he is not against Madhes and for him the nation comes first before Madhes.

“My party is more important to me than myself, Madhes is more important than my party and the country is more important than Madhes,” said leader Gachhadar. “I am no less pro-Madhes than any Madhes-centric leaders and no less nationalist than a man from hills.”

He claimed that the leaders of big three political parties should give up power as their leadership has already failed the country.

He further said that the leaders of big three political parties have been taking the leadership of the country since the democratic movement of 2007 BS.

“It is me who gave a new lease of life to Madhes agitation,” said leader Gachhadar, addressing an assembly of party cadres organised at Rajbiraj, headquarters of Saptrai district, on Friday.

Noting that he obstructed the parliament for 40 days to raise the demands of Madhes, the MJF-L leader said that it wouldn’t to correct to dub me as an anti-Madhes leader.
