Nepali youths celebrated the third "International Dhaka Topi Day” on Friday. Youths have been celebrating the first of January as 'Dhaka Topi Day', as part of an effort to preserve the traditional Nepali cap.
In Lamjung, Rotaract Club distributed Dhaka topis to the youths. The youths participating in the programme promised to wear Dhaka topis all day long on Friday, and in the future.
Youths in Kathmandu also celebrated “Dhaka Topi Day’ on Friday. Youths gathered at Maitighar wearing Dhaka caps.
