Tension flared up in Rani area at Nepal-India border in Biratnagar on Sunday after police intervened when the cadres of Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha were setting fire to a copy of Constitution Amendment Bill.
Police took to baton charge to disperse the protesters.
Police have detained Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal’s district chairman Raj Kumar Yadav, Tarai Madhes Loktantrik Party’s district chairman Mohammad Kabid, and Forum Nepal central member Sanjay Singh, among other cadres.
