Rastriya Prajantantra Party-Nepal (RPP-N) Chairman Kamal Thapa has remarked that he decided to support CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli for the post of prime minister in order to protect the national sovereignty.
“Normal of people have been hit hard due to the ongoing blockade at the entry points along Nepal-India border and foreign intervention has increased,” said Thapa, “There is a need for unity among national forces in order to remove the crisis facing the nation.”
Noting that the major three political parties have played a vital role in concluding the peace process and promulgation of new constitution, Thapa said there is no alternative to unity for the implementation of the constitution.
