College student goes missing in Sunkoshi

Ghimire, along with two of his friends Madan Bhandari and Sudarshan Pandey, had gone swimming in the lake on Saturday.

Though rescue personnel from Nepal police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army have been searching for Ghimire, they have failed to locate him till Saturday evening.
According to teacher Hari Prasad Joshi, a group of 39 students had reached the
site for field study and data collection. Terming the incident a very unfortunate one, Joshi said the student had already gone missing in the lake by the time they reached the site.
Ghimire is the only son, with two sisters, of Netra Ghimire of Khandbari-1 in Sankhuwasabha. The lake is around 15 to 20 metres deep.
