Woman found dead in Baglung
A woman returning from her parental home presumably after celebrating Teej festival was murdered in cold blood at Bokse in the district.Prakash Baral
The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Rupa Gautam, a resident of Sigana-7.
According to DSP Prem Bahadur Basnet, the body of Rupa was found in Bokse-Gaihra with her throat slit with a sharp weapon. She was returning via mid-hill road from Pang, Parwat, on Thursday evening.
Police suspect that she was returning after observing festival in the district headquarters. A tractor driver saw her body lying in the middle of the road and had informed the police.
Police has suspected the incident was premeditated as the murder took place in a road where people travel less and the jewelries worn by the woman are intact. The police investigation is underway.
The deceased is survived by two sons and a daughter. The body has been sent to Zonal hospital for postmortem.
