NEPSE rebounds with double-digit gain after three-day losing streak
Index rises by 26.53 points; over Rs7 billion worth of shares traded in active session

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index surged by 26.53 points on Saturday, closing at 2,622.28, marking a 1.02 percent increase. This comes after three consecutive sessions of decline earlier in the week.
Market activity remained strong, with a total turnover of Rs7.12 billion from 74,752 transactions. Investors traded 16.6 million shares during the session.
According to NEPSE, 185 listed companies witnessed a rise in their share prices, while 63 recorded a decline. Out of the 13 sub-indices, all but one ended in the green. The manufacturing and processing subgroup was the sole laggard, falling by 39.45 points.
Among the day’s top gainers were Saptakoshi Development Bank, which climbed by 9.99 percent, followed by Bindabasini Hydropower (8.97 percent), Machhapuchchhre Bank Debenture 2085 (8.10 percent), Green Ventures (6.95 percent), and Trishuli Jalvidhyut (5.92 percent).
