NEPSE drops by 35.73 points as all subgroups decline
Benchmark index falls 1.32 percent on Tuesday, with turnover exceeding Rs6.67 billion.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 35.73 points on Tuesday, closing at 2,658.93. The decline represents a 1.32 percent fall, marking a reversal from Monday’s slight gain.
Market activity remained robust despite the decline. According to NEPSE, a total of 15,538,474 shares were traded through 75,508 transactions, resulting in a turnover of Rs6.67 billion.
Out of the listed companies, share prices of 34 increased, while 214 registered losses. All trading subgroups closed in the red.
Despite the broad downturn, two companies—Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals and Pure Energy—hit the upper circuit with a 10 percent surge in share prices.
