The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 8.57 points on Sunday, closing at 2,679.98. This represents a decline of 0.31 percent compared to the previous trading day.

Out of the 248 companies that traded, 99 recorded gains in their share prices, while 148 declined. One company’s share price remained unchanged.

A total of 70,610 transactions were recorded throughout the day, with over 18.5 million shares changing hands. The day’s total turnover stood at approximately Rs7.61 billion.

Sectoral performance was largely negative, with most sub-indices posting losses. Only the microfinance and trading subgroups showed gains, rising by 112.99 and 5.59 points, respectively.
