Kantipur Publications marks 29th anniversary

Kantipur Publications marked its 29th anniversary amid a function on Saturday.
A brief function was organised at the office premises to mark the anniversary function citing the Covid-19 pandemic.
During the function, the publication honoured 12 employees for their outstanding contribution throughout the year.
Krishana Prasain, assistant senior sub-editor of The Kathmandu Post, Matrika Dahal, senior sub-editor of Kantipur, Jaya Singh Mahara, assistant senior-sub-editor of ekantipur.com, and Anish Regmi, photojournalist for the Post, were among those receiving the awards.
Santosh Sharma, senior executive of the Post and Digital Marketing, Kiran Khadka, executive (unit-operator) of Press, Suresh Pandey, delivery boy of Circulation, Ram Krishna Ghimire, junior executive of Circulation, Binod Bhatta, assistant manager of Marketing, and Himali Shakya, junior executive of Finance, were awarded as the best employees of the year.
From Radio Kantipur, Keshu Lamichhane, assistant senior sub-editor of News Department, and Rashmita Prajapati, programme presenter of the Programme Department, also received best employee of the year award.
During the function, Mira Kunwar, assistant of Corporate, Ram Krishna Khatri, assistant security guard, Yadav Thapa, senior assistant (driver), Lum Maya Budina, cleaning team member, Bidhya Rai, sub-editor of Kantipur, and Prakriti Dahal, sub-editor of Nari magazine, among others, received appreciation awards for their outstanding performances.
Chairman and Managing Director of the Kantipur Media Group Kailash Sirohiya handed over the awards and certificates to the winners.
In his brief address, Sirohiya appreciated the hard work of all despite the difficult situation posed by the pandemic. “We will celebrate the next—30th—anniversary with a grand function,” he said.
