Several parts of Nuwakot district were left without electricity on Tuesday after a fire broke out at Trishuli Hydropower Station.
The fire, which started at around 2:45 pm, destroyed three machines, causing an estimated damage of Rs 15 million. Police suspected that the fire at the 21MW power station could have been caused due to an electric short-circuit. Officials at the station said they were trying to resume the power supply. (PR)
