The Election Commission (EC) has urged political parties for the submission of the samples of personal details including signature of the officials granted the rights to allocate formal nomination letters to (would be) candidates for the third round of September 18 local level elections, by August 29.
A meeting held Thursday under the chair of its Chief Commissioner Ayodhee Prasad Yadav took a decision to this effect.
Those political parties who had got a go-ahead for nominating candidates for the polls have been communicated to submit details (including name, caste and signature) of those officials assigned to handover nomination to the EC's central office at Kantipath, said EC's Spokesperson Surya Prasad Sharma.
