An Armed Police Force (APF) Constable was found dead near Aithpur in Bhimdutta Municipality-6 of Kanchanpur district on Thursday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Narendra Kunwar of Haldukhal, Bhimdutta Municipality-7. He was stationed at the Gaddachauki Battalion.

Police said that Kunwar had a deep cut on his head. Police surmised that the incident might have occurred while he was returning home on Wednesday night.

“The incident is mysterious,” SP Prakash Chand of the District Police Office, Kanchanpur said, adding, “Investigation is underway.”
