Property worth Rs2 million was reduced to cinder in a fire that broke out in a cosmetic and clothing store at Loharpatti Rural Municipality in Mahottari district on Saturday morning.
The District Police Office, Mahottari, said the clothes and cosmetic items were damaged in the fire that broke out at 5am.
Owner of the store Rajdev Yadav said the fire destroyed readymade clothing worth Rs 1 million, cosmetic items worth Rs 500,000 and other goods. Superintendent of Police Kuber Kathayat said a team of police personnel has been deployed to the incident site to investigate the cause of the fire.
