Sajha Party has picked its candidate for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Itahari Sub-metropolitan city in the upcoming second phase of local level elections slated for June 28.
The party has fielded Dr Tara Kafle, a teacher and philanthropist, for the post of mayor while journalist and Human Rights activist Prakash Chandra Pariyar has been fielded for the post of deputy mayor.
Kafle, 38, a resident of Itahari-5 has been active in population, health and education sector including research and social work. Likewise, Pariyar is the member of Sajha Party central coordination committee and is active in social justice and Human Rights sector.
