PM appeals to one and all to lend support for Dharahara rebuilding campaign

During his meeting with a delegation of the Society of Nepalese Architect (SONA) at his official residence, Baluwatar today, the Prime Minister said the Dharahara was the common property of all Nepali citizens and who would rebuild it if we not, adding that its rebuilding would take place on a new model with keeping its historic beauty, importance and pride alive. He called on the entire people to lend possible support from their side to restore the Dharahara.
The government has announced 'I Build My Dharahara Myself ' to collect funds for its rebuilding. The new Dharahara will have the parking facilities inside and a memorial pillar displaying the names of those killed in its collapse during the Gorkha Earthquake, as shared by the Prime Minister on the occasion.
On the occasion, SONA General Secretary Suman Meher Shrestha handed a cheque of Rs 727,196 to the Prime Minister as financial help to rebuild the Dharahara.
Likewise, employees with the Ministry of Law, Justice and Federal Affairs contributed Rs 54,168 collectively to support the Dharahara rebuilding campaign, it is learnt. RSS
