Traffic police have said that Kathmandu needs overhead pedestrian bridges in 21 new locations to manage increasing traffic in Valley roads.
According to Metropolitan Traffic Police Division, overhead bridges to cross roads are needed in Putalisadak, Maitighar, Babarmahal, New Baneshwor, Minbhawan, Koteshwor, Airport Gate, Gaushala, Chabahil, Maharajgunj, Kalimati, Teku, Bhotebahal, Tripureshwor, Thapathali, Kesharmahal, Sorhakhutte Galkopakha, Patan, Boudha and Satdobato.
At present, there are 22 overhead bridges and one subway in the Valley.
