US chopper crash site traced
After more than 60 hours, a search and rescue mission on Friday recovered the debris of crashed UH-1Y Huey helicopter at Ghorthali area of Sindhupalchok District.

The recovered bodies are being ferried to Kathmandu. Local police officials say hundreds of security personnel including US Marines and locals have reached the crash site.
Defence Ministry Secretary Ishwori Prasad Paudyal confirmed that the US military chopper was found crashed on the hillside.
The chopper with six US Marines and two Nepali soldiers on board had been missing since Tuesday evening. The chopper was deployed for search and rescue mission to Dolakha, one of the districts hit hardest by both the quakes.
According to a press release issued by the Nepal Army (NA), after receiving the information from the ground troops, the NA Lancer and Ecureuil choppers spotted the US Marine’s crashed chopper northeast of Kalinchok in the vicinity of Ghorthali VDC which lies approximately at a height of 11,200 feet.
