Jagadamba Giants crush Sagarmatha Legends by 51 runs
Jagadamba Giants has defeated Sagarmatha Legends by 51 runs in the ongoing NCell Nepal Premier League (NPL) at the Fapla ground in Dhangadi on Thursday.Ekantipur Report
Jagadamba Giants chose to bat first after winning the toss and posted a modest target of 214 runs in the allotted 50 overs against the Sagarmatha Legends. But Sagarmatha batsmen were bundled up for 162 runs in 42.2 overs.
Jagadamba opener Naresh Budaiyar scored 37 runs off 72 balls with four- fours. He was bowled out by Rupesh Shrivastava. Amit Shrestha added a quick 32 runs off 22 balls with four fours and two sixes before being bowled by Lal Bahadur Adhikari.
Likewise, Sompal Kami, with the help of three fours and two sixes scored 31 runs from 32 balls. Sagarmatha's captain Binod Bhandari took a catch off Kami's hit.
Rahul BK took three wickets for 48 runs in his 10-over spell. Nischal Pandey was the most expensive bowler in the Legends's camp. He took one wicket and gave 65 runs in his 10-over spell.
Anil Mandal put up a decent fight for the Legends with 36 runs off 54 balls while Rahul BK scored 29 runs from 54 balls. Likewise, Pares Lohani got 18, Mohammed Alam scored 16 and Captain Binod Bhandari scored 14 runs for their team.
Jagadamba's captain Shakti Gauchan was the bowling star in the match. He took 4 wickets for 19 runs in his spell of 8.3 overs. He was announced the man of the match. Chief District Officer Bed Prasad Lekhak presented Gauchaun the man of the match trophy.
Similarly, Prem Tamang took 3 wickets in his 10-over spell giving 35 runs while Sivakar Sanyasi took 2 and Nijamandar Ansari took 1 wicket each of the opposition.
Colors X-Factors will play against Kantipur Gurkhas at Dhangadi and Panchakanya Tej will play against Jagadamba Giants at Kanchanpur in tomorrow's scheduled matches.
