A special team of Metropolitan Police headed by Inspector Kumod Dhungel arrested Rajesh Chhetri, a native of Kavre district, one of the kidnappers of Megha Devkota.

Chhetri was on the run after he was found involved in the abduction case of Megha Devkota, daughter of senior neurosurgeon Upendra Devkota.
On July 26, 2008, Megha Devkota, then a 10th grader at Rato Bangla School, was abducted from her home at Hepali Heights at Budhanilkanta, 7 kilometers north of the Capital. She was released on Aug 3 after her family paid Rs 13 million ransom to the abductors.
Police have already arrested some of the abductors involved in the case and initiated legal action against them.
