Contempt case against Regmi at Supreme Court
A contempt of court case has been filed against Chairman of Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi at the Supreme Court.
Advocate Sunil Ranjan Bishnu Timilsena filed court contempt case against Regmi arguing that the latter failed to implement the court verdict that was issued two days ago.
The Supreme Court on Monday had ordered the agitating doctors to halt their strike and get back to work to resume services in hospitals across the country within an hour of the court order.
Nepal Medical Association (NMA) in its part had continued the strike saying that they did not receive the court order in writing .
NMA decided to halt services at the hospitals across the nation since Sunday expressing solidarity with the hunger strike being staged by senior orthopedic Dr Govinda KC for the past 12 days.
