Two workers go missing in Bheri river during bridge maintenance

Two workers have gone missing after falling into the Bheri river while carrying out repair work on a suspension bridge in Surkhet. The incident occurred during the maintenance of the bridge connecting Kuta in Barahatal Rural Municipality-4 and Chamri in Panchapuri Municipality-10, according to the District Police Office in Surkhet.
The missing workers have been identified as Anil Gharti, 24, from Sisne Rural Municipality-2 in Rukum East, and Arjun Jhakri Magar, 18, from the same area. DSP Birendra Bishwakarma, spokesperson for the District Police Office, confirmed that the workers were binding materials for the bridge when they fell into the river.
Security personnel from Nepal Police and Armed Police Force have been dispatched to the incident site to intensify the search and rescue efforts.
