An earthquake measuring 4.2 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Jajarkot on Thursday morning, with its epicentre in Barekot Rural Municipality.

The tremor occurred at 6:33am, according to the Seismological Centre, Surkhet. No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received.
