Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhimlal Bhattarai, chief of Humla District Police Office, has been suspended on the charge of abusing his colleague.
Nepal Police Headquarters suspended Bhattarai after a complaint was filed accusing him of abusing a fellow policewoman while inebriated.
Bhattarai was recalled to the Karnali Province Police Office a few days ago.
According to police sources, Rabindra Khanal has been sent to replace Bhattarai.
Bhattarai had faced a departmental action some three years ago on the charge of consuming liquor and not following commands during his posting at the Butwal Area Police Office.
