Nepal on Tuesday reported 177 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 998,167.

Similarly, 123 people tested positive in a total of 2,609 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.

As of Tuesday, 5,900,167 PCR and 1,370,482 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.

A total of 1,981 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.

The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 12,007 since the pandemic began.

According to the ministry, 983,703 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 124 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 2,457.

In the past 24 hours, 15 new infections were reported in Province 1, four in Madhesh Province, 127 in Bagmati, 10 in Gandaki, 10 in Lumbini and 11 in Sudurpaschim.

Nepal on Monday reported 122 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 116 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and two deaths were recorded on Sunday and 92 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and two deaths were reported on Saturday.
