Nepal reports 852 new Covid-19 cases
Number of active cases stands at 5,462.Post Report
Nepal on Wednesday reported 531 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 994,389.
Similarly, 321 people tested positive in a total of 2,507 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Wednesday, 5,863,226 PCR and 1,324,965 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 3,876 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,990 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 976,937 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 328 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 5,462.
In the past 24 hours, 28 new infections were reported in Province 1, 17 in Madhes Province, 400 in Bagmati, 33 in Gandaki, 28 in Lumbini, two in Karnali and 23 in Sudurpaschim.
Nepal on Tuesday reported 399 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death. Similarly, 427 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death were recorded on Monday and 305 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and two deaths were reported on Sunday.
