Nepal on Monday reported 427 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 993,459.

Similarly, 461 people tested positive in a total of 2,582 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.

As of Monday, 5,856,628 PCR and 1,319,561 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.

A total of 3,155 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.

The country reported one Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,989 since the pandemic began.

According to the ministry, 976,083 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 474 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 5,987.

In the past 24 hours, 33 new infections were reported in Province 1, five in Madhes Province, 293 in Bagmati, 21 in Gandaki, 22 in Lumbini, one in Karnali and 52 in Sudurpaschim.

Nepal on Sunday reported 305 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and two deaths. Similarly, 162 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and two deaths were reported on Saturday and 419 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and three deaths were reported on Friday.
