Nepal on Friday reported 419 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 992,565.

Similarly, 362 people tested positive in a total of 2,422 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.

As of Friday, 5,849,766 PCR and 1,312,692 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.

A total of 2,290 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.

The country reported two Covid-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,984 since the pandemic began.

According to the ministry, 974,806 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 511 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 5,775.

In the past 24 hours, 25 new infections were reported in Province 1, five in Madhes Province, 328 in Bagmati, 26 in Gandaki, 25 in Lumbini and 10 in Sudurpaschim.

Nepal on Thursday reported 465 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and three deaths. Similarly, 496 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and two deaths were recorded on Wednesday and 560 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Tuesday.
