Nepal on Thursday reported 465 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 992,146.

Similarly, 350 people tested positive in a total of 2,123 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.

As of Thursday, 5,847,476 PCR and 1,310,270 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.

A total of 2,411 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.

The country reported five Covid-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,982 since the pandemic began.

According to the ministry, 974,295 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 476 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 5,869.

In the past 24 hours, 33 new infections were reported in Province 1, eight in Madhes Province, 264 in Bagmati, 84 in Gandaki, 32 in Lumbini and 44 in Sudurpaschim.

Nepal on Wednesday reported 496 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and three deaths. Similarly, 560 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and two deaths were recorded on Tuesday and 498 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Monday.
