Nepal on Tuesday reported 399 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 993,858.

Similarly, 449 people tested positive in a total of 2,897 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.

As of Tuesday, 5,859,350 PCR and 1,322,458 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.

A total of 2,722 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.

The country reported one Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,990 since the pandemic began.

According to the ministry, 976,609 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 526 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 5,259.

In the past 24 hours, 18 new infections were reported in Province 1, eight in Madhes Province, 297 in Bagmati, 34 in Gandaki, 19 in Lumbini, three in Karnali and 20 in Sudurpaschim.

Nepal on Monday reported 427 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death. Similarly, 305 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and two deaths were recorded on Sunday and 162 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and two deaths were reported on Saturday.
