Nepal reports 553 new Covid-19 cases

Nepal on Sunday reported 451 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 990,127.
Similarly, 102 people tested positive in a total of 1,749 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Sunday, 5,835,631 PCR and 1,299,225 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 2,040 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,971 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 972,497 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 433 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 5,659.
In the past 24 hours, 48 new infections were reported in Province 1, 22 in Madhes Province, 284 in Bagmati, 53 in Gandaki, 16 in Lumbini, two in Karnali and 26 in Sudurpaschim.
Nepal on Saturday reported 326 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death. Similarly, 529 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death were recorded on Friday and 494 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death were reported on Thursday.
